There is a tremendous range of sounds that violinists demand from their instruments, from the brightest concerto soloist to the warmest chamber, orchestral, folk, or recording player.
Along with the back magnet system that controls the tone of your lower strings, we now have a brand-new way to control the tone of your upper A and E strings.
Your violin ships with three small disc magnets in different thicknesses: 1.5 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm. Use no additional bridge magnet for maximum brilliance and projection. Add a thicker magnet, or stack magnets, to progressively mellow the sound of the upper strings.
This gives players a simple, reversible way to fine-tune the brightness of their violin without changing strings, bridge setup, or soundpost adjustment.
